Each widget provides analytics to help you understand engagement and offer performance. Here is an overview of what we track and how it is measured.
- Identify -
- This tracking event happens when our script is loaded on a page. It creates an anonymous browser footprint for each user and we use this to track their engagement across your widgets.
- Widget View
- This tracking event happens when a widget is loaded on the page in view of the website visitor. For Banners, Toasts, and Blobs this is on page load. For Webflow or HTML implementations this is when the selected elements scroll into the viewport.
- Widget Open
- This event will only be tracked on Blob widgets and Web/HTML implementations. It is fired when the blob modal is open, or when the widget-container is opened.
- Widget Close
- This event will be tracked on all widgets when a close event is detected. This means dismissing the Banner or Toast widget, or closing the overlay or widget-container in the Blob and Webflow widget.
- Widget CTA Click
- Anytime your CTA is clicked in a widget we will track a CTA click event. This is used to measure your engagement score.
- Widget Title Close
- This is only tracked on Blob widgets and is used to track how often people dismiss your blob preview. This can help you fine tune your title preview text over time.
- Replace Offer
- This is only tracked on Blob widgets and is used to track how often people click on your community ad with the intent to replace the offer.
- Payment Form Open
- This triggers after the replace offer click. And tracks when a payment page is viewed. Right now this occurs on the same screen as the replace offer tracking event, but eventually might be separated as we create multi-step payment or engagement flows.
- Back Button
- This is tracked in a Blob widget when someone abandons a payment screen but returns back to the original offer view.
- Toast Close
- This is tracked when someone dismisses a Toast notification widget
- Banner Close
- This is tracked when someone dismisses a Banner notification widget
- Email Submission
- This tracking event is activated when someone successfully submits an email.
- Email Submission Failed
- This tracking event is activated when someone unsuccessfully submits an email.
- Engagement Rate
- This measures all click events, email submissions, open events and other widget engagements compared to unique views. This is a useful metric to understand how effective your offer and widgets are at driving the audience to action.
- Revenue (experimental)
- Revenue in your analytics dashboard show how much you have earned for your widget, and eventually how much your network has earned from affiliate ads and gamification.
- Events by Type over time
- This chart shows events activity over time. It can help you see trends in usage and engagement. Eventually we plan to show your ad history on this chart so you can visualize which offers are performing over time.
- Widget Installation locations
- This list shows which URL’s are loading your widget.
- Referring URL’s
- This list shows where users are before they come to a page with a widget on it. (Note: The referring URL is not always available)
